Boxing legend Manny Pacquiao tipped the scales at 160 pounds at Saturday’s weigh-in at the Kintex Arena for his exhibition bout against Korean martial arts practitioner DK Yoo to be held Sunday in Goyang, South Korea.
Yoo, 42, who will be participating in his first boxing bout, weighed 173. At 5’10”, he also has a five-and-a-half-inch height advantage over the Filipino ring icon, who turns 44 next week.
Pacquiao’s weight is 13 pounds above boxing’s welterweight limit of 147, where he campaigned for the last 10 years of his storied career. He last fought professionally in August 2021, when he lost to Cuban Yordenis Ugas via unanimous decision.
The fight, which is scheduled for six rounds, will stream live on the TapGo app starting at 11:00 a.m.
